Solid Wood Collection

Constructed from solid Sapele, each frame is built for comfort and engineered to stand entirely on its tapered solid wood legs. The collection is set against the American Cement Building, designed by Daniel, Mann, Johnson and Mendenhall in the early 1960s, its four hundred and fifty precast concrete X-braces standing as the building’s own structural support. Two structures, decades apart, built around the same idea: structure treated as the design rather than something to conceal.
